3 Generations of Crazy

14 May 2012

Happy (day after) Mother's Day!

I got to spend the weekend with my mom and great aunt in a lovely little town outside of Austin. We stayed in a beautiful bed and breakfast and explored the town and their 3 wineries. Yes, 3 in less than 24 hours. There was so much to do, but here are the highlights of our crazy overnight stay:

1. Bought $50 in fudge. With 53+ flavors to choose from, I'd say we got off easy.
Also, the dog ate over a pound of it within hours of me returning home. I got to run up and down the street Saturday night watching Prana barf her brains up like a sorority girl at 2:15am. Don't worry- Micah was there to hold her ears back.

2. Three winery tastings in under 24 hours. Boom shaka laka.

3. Being the designated driver for these two.
Mom, Aunt Ray

4. Mom: "I'm hungry. Should we order some cheese or something?"
83 year old Great Aunt: "Nah. I don't want to ruin my buzz. Fill me up."

5. Mom: "Should we check out the winery first or the art gallery?"
83 year old Great Aunt: "Well, we might like that art a lot more after the wine. Art gallery first so
we can get an honest look at the stuff."

6. My only drink of the trip.
Raspberry margarita

7. The antique bike fence.

9. Cool weather (probably the last of the season) to wear my colored jeans in!

10. Getting to spend my weekend with 2 generations of crazy women. I can't wait to see what my crazy will look like when it grows up.

    1. Seriously- what it up with that thing? We got in trouble for making fun of it. The owner came out and shot us a look and stood on the porch until we left!
