You Look Like 25 Bucks

{Shirt} Forever 21  {Skirt} Thrifted
{Wedges} Thrifted  {Necklace} Forever 21

Well thank ya kindly.

If I haven't already made it known, I love me a good deal. This entire outfit was $25.

I get such a rush when I put on an outfit and total up the money spent on it. At this point, I have so many thrifted items in my closet that my outfits rarely cost over $75.

Shirt: $4.50
Skirt: $6
Necklace: $2.50
Shoes: $12

After coming into a new stage of my life, and actually having the money to spend on clothes, I catch myself still sneaking away for a long lunch at Plato's closet or Buffalo Exchange. After spending so much of my life finding clothes at thrifted prices, I have a hard time thinking that I can afford a $50 pair of jeans. What's even harder is convincing myself that it may be ok to spend that.

Yet somehow I have no issue spending $100 on toys and treats for my dogs in one run to Petsmart.

Also, I realized that I have an affinity for these colors/patterns together. Remember this?

  5. I can not believe this entire outfit was $25! I really had a hard time transitioning from poor college student to working gal in terms of my wardrobe. it took me some time to get myself to spend more than $20 on one item. Although I now have a taste for the finer things, I never tire of a great deal!

    1. I'm still trying to convince myself of the finer things. But honestly, I've found so many expensive pieces thrifting, that I figure I can still have the finer things at a cheaper rate :)

  7. That's so awesome that your whole outfit is thrifted! I too am a bit of a cheapskate, and I refuse to spend a ton of money on clothes.

  17. i feel ya! i told myself that when i got a big girl job, i'd buy big girl clothes - j.crew, loft, gap, etc. but i can't seem to spend the money. really, their prices aren't all soooo outrageous, but i find myself hitting goodwill and getting the exact same brands for $3.50!

    1. Haha I'm totally on board with that! So now, I've graduated to buying clothes at the JCrew, Loft, and Gap outlets... It's a step up, right? :)
